BREAKING NEWS: The suspect in the true-crime film "The Gringa & the Musician" has been arrested by Peruvian police. Olguin Pacompía was found in a small town in the Cusco region of Peru on Friday, April 10, 2026.

 

He has been in hiding for almost 20 years.He is believed to be responsible for the murder of Aune Hartman.

 

"The Gringa and the Musician" is currently playing in selected theaters in Peru and has screened in more than 25 film festivals and special screenings.

 

The film was released in October 2024 and it generated a lot of media attention about the unsolved case. The film was directed by Roberto Pazos and produced by Steve Hunsicker with Roberto Barba handling post-production and editing. (Meet the Filmmakers)
