Olguin Pacompia Calsin, the subject of the documentary The Gringa & the Musician, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison by the Penal Collegiate Court of Puno, Peru.

The court found Pacompia responsible for aggravated robbery resulting in the death of German environmentalist Aune Hartmann. It also ordered him to pay civil compensation of €27,100 and S/50,000 to the injured party.

​

Pacompia remained in hiding for 18 years after Aune’s death in 2008. His arrest in the Cusco region in April 2026—and this subsequent sentencing—marks a major turning point in a case that had remained unresolved for nearly two decades.
