A warm and engaged audience turned out for this Sunday afternoon’s screening of The Gringa & the Musician at El Cultural in Tarapoto. Following the film, attendees participated in a lively Q&A session. One viewer asked about the most challenging and most rewarding aspects of making the documentary. Executive Producer Steve Hunsicker, who was present for the event, explained that the toughest hurdle was gaining access to key information—adding that one important document request remains unanswered to this day. He noted that the greatest reward has been helping bring wider attention to the case, with the hope that justice may eventually be served.

Also in attendance were three members of the Tarapoto production team—Eduardo Tello, Herbert Salas, and Tedd del Aguila—who contributed to the four days of filming in the San Martín region.

Many audience members left with a souvenir poster as a keepsake from the screening.
